Butler Season Ends at 5th Regional

The Butler golf season ended on Monday with a poor showing in the 5th Region Tournament at Heritage Hill. The squad, made up of 4 regional rookies, struggled to a team score of 371, their worst all season. Butler was led by Junior Josh Tingle’s round of 82. This marks the first time since 2010 that Butler will not be represented in the State Tournament next week in Bowling Green.

Butler Loses Season Finale to Meade County in Match Play

The Butler golfers finished their season on a low note Wednesday. The Bears travelled to River Trace Golf Club in Brandenberg for a Ryder Cup-style match play event with Meade County. Butler lost the match 5.5 to .5 and the only golfer to score for the Bears was Senior Adam Scott who halved his match. The Butler golf team finishes the season with a 7-3 record and will compete in the 5th Region Tournament on Monday 8:00am at Heritage Hill.

Bears Fall to Holy Cross at Bobby Nichols

The Butler golf team lost their first match in over a month on Monday. The Bears fell 185-177 to Holy Cross. Notable scores were Josh Tingle with 42, Dalton Blake at 45 and Brad Davis fired 48. Butler falls to 7-2 and will next face Meade County on Wednesday at 3:30.

Butler Defeats Meade County at Sun Valley

The Butler Golf Team moved to 7-1 by defeating Meade County on Monday at Sun Valley 157-161. The Bears shot their best match score of the season and were led by Dalton Blake at 38. Other notables were Darren McCluskey with 39, Brad Davis at 39 and Adam Scott in with 41. Butler next faces PRP Wednesday at Iroquois GC at 3:30.

Butler Finishes 7th at Doe Valley

The Butler golf team competed in the Meade County Green Wave Invitational this Saturday at Doe Valley Country Club in Brandenberg, Ky.  The Team shot 347 and finished 7th in the 15 team field. The Bears were led by a career-best from Senior Bradley Davis who fired a round of 82, finishing 10th overall. Other notables were Darren McCluskey at 86, Josh Tingle at 88 and Adam Scott at 91.  The Bears will next face Meade County 3:30 Monday at Sun Valley.

Bears Take Down DeSales

The Butler golf team took on rival DeSales on Wednesday at Iroquois Golf Course. The Bears moved their record to 6-1 on the year after a 175-190 win over the Colts. Butler was led by Josh Tingle's round of 40. Other notables were Dalton Blake at 43, Adam Scott with 45 and Darren McCluskey at 47. The Bears will next face Manual Wednesday 3:30 at Iroquois.

Butler Takes Down Holy Cross in Matchplay

The Bears took on Holy Cross on Monday in a Ryder Cup-style match play at Bobby Nichols Golf Course. Butler was victorious 5-3.Victories in the match include: Darren McCluskey 4&2, Josh Tingle 1up, Dalton Blake 1up and Alex Scott 3&2. Butler will next face DeSales on Wednesday 3:30 at Iroquois Golf Course.
